I figure since Valve again overlooks another exploitable item I shall help them. Using this command will make you unmutable. Your name won't show up in playerlist so nobody will be able to mute you.

The command is:

setinfo name ""

You must use this before you connect to a server, if you use it while in a server you have to type retry in console.

This will not work on OrangeBox games so don't bother, the name system works differently.

The exploit is for CSS/DoDS/etc, whatever game uses Episode 1 as it's SDK base.

Enjoy.

Is this the same thing that allows EA users to be "unconnected"?

Valve won't patch it for a long time to come.

This is the only feature of EA that I would really want xD

RIFK. I used this and it marks my name as 'unconnected'

On a server someone said they had another person named 'unconnected' who was hacking earlier on another server, hahaha. The thing is that I don't have h4x, and when I started to bother killing people on CSS they were like OMG H4X!!!111 over the mic, hahahaha

Though they just banned me regardless when I started doing hilarious things such as VA / teamflashing / breaking the glass on Office when I was the only CT left. They were surely insecure people though =O; they literally banned me just for playing the game :(

WAV FOR PRESIDENT 2008

Thanks, i think it makes you unkickable and bannable too ;) (well admin can but)

You still show up in lists. Some people are dumb and don't know shit so they think they can't find you.

another thing i like to do with this exploit is that i join as unconnected and then steal someones name, so in the voteban, votekick, admin menu i still show as having no name, so if people are not paying attention to the game mesages " is unstoppable!" "and ''most kills by killing 11 players..." and only watch the upper right corner, theyll ban the wrong person . its especially effective against those that know that if there are 2 people with the same name that you need to ban the second.

I don't know about this; explain?

You do the unmutable command, join a server then just change your name normally like you always do in the options / preferences menu?

I don't remember this much but I tried this and I recall it failing ;<

edit: nvm i got it XD. When an admin said over the mic he would ban me I changed my name to his using the magic space and the magical console command, and he didn't do anything and was silent for 5+ minutes until he had to change his name, and then I left. >:O
