A denial-of-service attack (DoS attack) or distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS attack) is an attempt to make a computer resource unavailable to its intended users. Although the means to, motives for, and targets of a DoS attack may vary, it generally consists of the concerted, malevolent efforts of a person or persons to prevent an Internet site or service from functioning efficiently or at all, temporarily or indefinitely.

I stole it from some wiki.

That sucks

Isn't it odd that someone said that they would be attacking EA? Way back when, I remember a topic popping up after skunk cheats or deviant got hit, and on there it said that Xero was next...

Hmm...

They really need to have a separate server for the hack and the website.
Not much you can do about DDoS attacks from bot nets aside from wait them out or buy some hardware that automaticly detects and blocks DDoS packets.

Let's just every CALM DOWN.

Let's play runeskape or something, it will be back on sometime so kthx.

:wow:

There used to be some DDoS shields on the market I used to spam an ad for one for an affiliate program/ad banner progam I was in. How well they work I'm not certain. This was in 06' so maybe they are obsolete now. The place I'm thinking of had very reasonably priced 1 domain package and all you had to do was change a few things to your DNS (name server) so your site traffic first passes through their servers which had the software/shield to stop the attacks.
EA is a new service and obviously are doing something right to attract this much attention. So stfu with the bullshit comment faggot.

Well said.

Enhanced Aim has earned much reputation in the hacking community, and has leveled the hacking scene by quite a blow. These 'other' competitor sites have been quite frustrated at the quality of service and how our hack was designed. With our feature to stop copy+paste hacks, Project-7 and others were blown out of the water. Due to frustration, these companies retaliated at our site due to our quality and thus wanting to shut us down.

That makes sense, just goes to show how low the other competitors would go to get EA off the market.
