After ~ 2 weeks your body will become addicted to the drug and you will withdraw hard when you don't have any. FUEKN JUNKIE@1 @ thread creator: xanax is good, stop being a panzy. and FYI OMP if hes being prescribed xanax the likelihood is he has anxiety, not depression, normally the only time they prescribe it to you for depression is if you are allowed to take high doses, in which a case they also aren't worried about long-term effects (terminal diseases and such) Edited June 6, 200816 yr by [myg0t]k0nspire

June 6, 200816 yr Xanax is for anxiety as stated above, and is for 18+ only.. because of its addictive factor. Anti-depressants would be Prozac, Luvox, Zoloft, etc. There's tons of them. I'm on Prozac now and it has helped me, and I am also on Vistaril for anxiety. But yes, exercising really helps.. it won't cure depression/anxiety, but it really helps treat it.

June 6, 200816 yr Everybody's pretty much summed up all you really need to know about Xanax, so I don't really have much to say except; The time I was prescribed them for ptsd they were only good for knocking me the fuck out. I think Xanax is better than Lunesta, Ambien CR, Rozarem, PM pills, w/e, Xanax is your best bet on sleeping. Other than that while I was on them at school I'd fall asleep every hour, slur my words, and look like a complete jackass, so if you have insomnia troubles then take them, other than that do what you want.
June 6, 200816 yr Author I am a grown man and my parents are long since gone, I also dig holes in the ground for 9 hours a day among other things to earn a living so I don't think more exercise would help. I went to my doctor and told him my issues which include trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep, lack of sex drive, ive lost the will to socialise or keep a conversation for very long and indigestion. The funny thing is all my life ive never had any of these problems it just seems weird that they would spring from seemingly nowhere. Thanks for the helpful feedback its good to have a thread not flooded with trolls all the time.

June 6, 200816 yr I agree with most people in this thread that doctors prescribe way to much drugs to kids nowadays, have atleast 2 of my close rl friends hooked on this shit and i know they are mostly attention whores who need therapy rather than antidepressants. Although, benzo is a nice drug but you get hooked easially and the more you do it the more you need.
June 6, 200816 yr I was on anti-depresents/anxiety tablets (Aropax) for 3 months. For me it was like being on a holiday. I was so relaxed, made new friends and realy enjoyed the experience. After a while I felt like I was the drug companies bitch. I went to work, payed my taxes and payed the chemist for my happy pills. So I stopped taken them. Withdrawal was difficult. I have never felt worse. Join a gym, get an education, your life is what you make it.
June 6, 200816 yr If your depression is the result of some sort of chemical/hormone problem you were born with or an illness you developed, then medication may be be the best option. If your problem didnt start of as a physical problem then dont take medication.
