June 20, 200816 yr Unplug modem. Wait 5-10 Minutes. Plug modem back in. I am aware that you don't want to unplug anything but I really don't see why that is so hard

I am aware that you don't want to unplug anything but I really don't see why that is so hard you're stupid if you think that's actually a method of changing your ip address. if you have a cable modem and a router sharing the connection, you can go into the control panel and change the mac address. you could just change it to anything, or you can clone the address of one of the machines on your network. There you go. New ip, no cords unplugged. Cable ISP's (maybe dsl too, ive just always had cable) assign ip addresses based on the mac address of the device seeking authentication e.g. a computer or in the case of shared connections, routers. It should automatically get reassigned when you change the address.
June 24, 200816 yr The easiest way is to just go to command prompt (start/run/type 'cmd' and hit enter)/type 'ipconfig /release' just like that with the space/go to start/control panel/network connections/delete Local Area Connection and restart your modem for a new IP address every time you connect.
