Counter-Strike gameplay doesn't seem to have changed much, if at all. Graphics of course, are much improved. - Half-Life 1 is also ported over to the Source engine and will be available at the same time as when Half-Life 2 ships. - During the presentation, Gabe Newell reiterated that Half-Life 2 is shipping this summer, although no specific date was given. - Team Fortress 2 was not mentioned at all. May 13, 200420 yr I was watching the HL2 "strider" scene and though, why the hell don't they just use a chain, or rope to tie that fucker's legs up, it would just fall down and break over it's own weight! Look at all those idiots just mindlessly shooting at it, obviously it's bulletproof. I guess Dr. Freeman isn't the brightest in the bunch. I'm going to e-mail the HL2 dev team with my inquiry.

There's been a ton of user-created content built for Half-Life, and Valve has helped spearhead development of a bit of it, including Counter-Strike, Team Fortress Classic, and Day of Defeat. For Half-Life 2, these mods are being ported to the Source engine, which should breathe new life into a series of games that refuse to die, despite their age. --- link is on thier main page
May 13, 200420 yr im loving the way cs2 (or whatever) is looking, but the problem is i want to play this game so fucking bad and its going to take valve forever to finish it off. as long as they do a good job though im happy. i'd rather late longer for a better game, then get a half asses rushed game.
