i want to get some ram to put in puter... does it matter if i get sdram or ddr? i know that ddr is beter

can you put ddr into any comppy and it work?

i have msi KT3 Ultra2 series with VIA KT333 chipset

athlon xp...

can i put bothin compy or do i need to have a specific one.

it depends on what your mobo supports, you need to get the kind you already have

take it to the store and say "give me more of this"

no ddr sucks shit man get pc100 its best

rofl that was a good laugh.

Ram is highly over rated. I took all mine out and it works perfectly fine . Its just an urban legend to get to spend your money on somethig that is totally useless .

Throw away your Ram and release yourself from your Dependency of the Chinese , Maozhuxi Wansui !!!!

ram is very important. especially if u got a shitty comptuer. i had a 733 mhz with 256 ram like a year..it was pimp as shit

k well i'm assuming, if its an athlon xp and by your motherboard, that you have a 333 mhz fsb. if the peep who put your compy together knows his ass from a hole in the ground, he will have put 333 mhz DDR PC2700 into your computer. that means you have to get more of that.

you have to line up your frontside bus with your ram speed. otherwise, if your FSB > RAM.. that means your processor will be sending data across the northbridge faster than your RAM can accept it. FSB < RAM isn't as big of a deal, the RAM will just underclock itself, but you'll be paying for speed you don't get.

lining up your various RAM sticks in speed, needless to say, is essential.

Also, there is a huge difference between DDR and SDRAM. Namely "Double Density Ram" = DDR, "Single Density Ram" = SDRAM.

I don't know what those labels actually imply, but they have to be the same. your motherboard will only accept one kind, anyway. msi KT3 Ultra2's use DDR.

DDR Stands for Double Data Rate and SD is Single Data you fucking idiot.
