Posted July 20, 200816 yr i want to get a car ( used or new ) but can't seem to decide... rx-8 and then get a turbo kit from greddy? turbo hhr ss panel version. 09 and then the ppc tuner from hahnracecraft to get 290 whp or a super charged cobalt with a stage 5 kit from cobalt addiction making about 280 whp any suggestions ? i want to try and keep it american because thats what i have access too. but im open to suggestions of different makers plz :naughty::gaykeke: Edited July 20, 200816 yr by ian48065

They're cheap, supercharged and you can make them evil. install a CAI, 3 inch downpipe, 3.2 inch pulley, hypertech programmer , take out the rear seat and use Water/Meth injection and you have ownage. http://www.snowperformance.net/product.php?pk=39 all of this for under $5,000 (including the car) and it's a total sleeper. nobody would expect you to beat them in a race. i eat and shit Mistubishi Eclipses for breakfast with my ugly Regal. July 21, 200816 yr Buy yourself a ls2 gto. My brother just bought a 2006 gto with the ls2 engine (obviously) for $18,950 (excludes tax, tittle, and license). It's just an another project car for him. I know what i am talking about. Those ls2's can be deadly if you tune them right. They are also cheap and reliable. Even bone stock the gto's PWN. July 21, 200816 yr two of my buddies have them Damn your lucky !! I wish one of my friends had a Supra lol. Nicest car I get to ride in is my friends AGP .50 trim SRT-4. I love them, but for your price range you can get better+RWD which is why I didn't suggest them. Regals are sick, specially twin turboed. What are you deffinite about (RWD, FWD ? import, domestic ? turbo,sc ?) Or are you open for anything that appeals most to you ?

I would love a rx-8. rotary sound, rwd, 9000 rpms. or a cobalt. there is a ton of after market for these things. they aren't fast stock but there is a place in michigan that doest a "twin charge" system that im contacting tomorrow. it basically uses the supercharger to get rid of the lag from a turbo and then uses the giant ass turbo once it gets to 3000 - 4000 rpms to carry it on. they just got 450 whp out of a stock block with injectors and exhaust with there system on race gas. my un-official goal is 350 whp and low 12's to high 11's with slicks but a daily driver. if i can get close to that i will be really happy

July 21, 200816 yr horrible 7th post btw qft That twin charge system sounds pretty sick, closest thing I ever heard to somethin like that is the way rx-7's twin turbo setup works, how one helps the other spin up to shorten the lag. As for your choices they all sounds good, specially the rx-8, they sound rediculous, they just need more power adders to get them up to speed.
