Posted August 2, 200816 yr I was wondering if it would be possible to run your [Cable/Satellite/Digital Antenna]'s audio through an Audigy card or equally capable card then out to your stereo. Then have some kind of software running on the PC to monitor the decibel range, and when one of those faggot mother fuckers pops up in a commercial screaming about anal blistering: it would detect the change in loudness and automatically adjust it to a lower volume for the duration of the obnoxious fucker's marketing. All it will do is take random sound spikes and flatten them out. No full mute.
August 4, 200816 yr yeah im kinda guessing that you could make a program in like C++ or VB the easiest to test the sound but as myriad had said, the comercials where the guy is really fucking screaming at you it would lower the volume a little bit and then it would go back to normal so it would kinda randomyl fluctuate without a full mute. :dunno: idk but the setup shouldnt be too too hard unless you might have to take apart your cable box to attach it to the sound card :dunno:
