I make around $700 doing 5 days a week.

Well I got my payslip for last week and it reads:

Days worked - 30

Total Pay - $3,210

lol

Some major fuck up there in accounting.

I'm just debating if I should tell them, not because its immoral and I care, but because of the slim possiblilty that somewhere down the track they might notice it.

rifk if they dont notice it right away they will notice eventually probably and then ask for it back and if you spent it they will prolly dock your pay
No... it's their fault for making the mistake. I have had the same thing happen, but with only a few hundred extra and I let it slide
dude fuck those guys there fuckin dumb for for fuckin ur payslip up it says you earned that much so you are entitled to that much fuck those guys who made the mistake i would spend it

If it is a large company you might get away with it.

Otherwise, return it.

If accounting realises there mistake, they may try to blame you for there fuck up ,i.e label you as a thief.

You should give it back, only because they will notice and you will get fucked for not telling them.

I say this from experience.

depends on size of company...

if its a small firm id give it back, likely they will find out resulting into you being docked wages for another time?

Could they seriously even do anything to you if you kept it? I mean, how are you supposed to know they made a mistake? They could bring up that's it's more than your normal pay, but you could always say you thought you were getting a raise.

You can either keep it and hope they don't notice or you can give it back and lose out on about four times your pay.

if they find out, they will dock your pay... youll work one week, and not get a cheque...

they wont say shit...

either they will notice and dock you, or you can slide...

if you dont get paid a week id say ask for ur cheque or quit

what the mistake?

30 days worked at $700/5days?

30/5 = 6

6 * 700 = $4200?

And you were taxed $990

= 3210????

did I miss something?

I believe the poster is saying he only worked 5 days, and got paid for 30.

They signed the check agreeing to pay you that amount.

edit: I agree with Myriad

If you don't tell them about it, then they will just ask you for it back or dock your pay later on.

On top of that they will consider you a untrustworthy employee.

Well I got a call today from them explaining how they fucked up the pay for that week.

So I have to give it back and they will fix it up.

It was funny becuase in the convo I was like:

"Oh yeah, well errr I was going to call, but umm I've been just burried under paper work at the moment"

He wouldn't get fired, they would dock pay, maybe warn him in the future to tell them if they make a mistake

This is false. I have a friend who got fired for this type of shit. Employers don't need a reason to fire you since they can just make one up.
