May 20, 200420 yr Here is my summary of why myg0t was mentioned and caught up in the whole HL2 scandal. "Anon" as he called himself for the HL2 shit was pissed off at myg0t cuz a myg0t member leaked his stolen shit. Former myg0t member Hitman had been given some of the source code files and he started making screenshots of the source code files and posting them on various websites. This lead to Valve admitting they had been hacked and the code stolen. "Anon" never wanted to release the source code or the game files, he wanted it to remain private. After myg0t members fucked that up for him, he was raged at us and knew it would get out one way or another at this point. So he released everything he had stolen, mainly because he was raged at myg0t. End of story.

How does this not make sense? He did not want this info getting out to the public, its really that simple. He was pissed because someone ruined what he worked hard at by letting the public and Valve know it had happened. Before these screenshots came out, no one knew shit, not even Valve. Valve can lie and say otherwise but it's not true they didn't know they were hacked until they started seeing screenshots of their own source code on forums and web sites. "Anon", was planning to leave his backdoor in place to continue stealing shit. Once it got out, was like "well fuck, cat is outta the bag". Then he put it up for everyone to download, thus making it harder for them to track who orginally had it. He also used this to let everyone know that myg0t was not responsible for stealing it, which is why our name is in the NFO file. Valve finally admitted recently in a interview that the delay of HL2 was not due to the leak. The leak delayed it further yes, but it was already delayed as the game was not finished. Anyone who downloaded DLed the leaked beta files can see this is true as well. As to how Hitman got access, ask him. I'm not him and cannot and will not speak for him.
