May 21, 200420 yr It depends on whether or not your teeth have roots, and are either out or still in your gums. For me, my teeth were inside still, but had no roots. Otherwise, the procedure would have been fucking painful. The doctor never put me under (since my dad was a bastard and wouldn't cough up the money for gas). Instead, he stuck my gums with anesthetic until I couldn't feel a thing. When he cuts your gums, you probably won't feel it. However, you will feel it (A LOT) when he takes the saw and cuts your teeth almost in half while they're still inside your gums. Should you experience pain during this, he'll probably give you permission to signal that you want more anesthetic. After that, he will break them in half with this tool thingy, and pull them out. Then he'll sew your gums up. It will be bloody as hell, and the gauze will absorb your blood, but it doesn't stop the bleeding too well. I suggest taking the gauze out after an hour, or else it won't stop bleeding. This will allow the blood clots to stay put. Now, you'll probably get a prescription for painkillers. Be warned: they may or may not do a fucking thing. The stuff he injects you with prior to the procedure work wonders, but when it starts to wear off, PAIN. When I got my prescription filled, I took 2 vikadin for each dose every few hours, plus an advil, and it didn't do shit. You won't be able to talk, not even mumble. It'll hurt like fuck. Last thing, your cheeks might swell. I get my top two wisdoms cut out in June. Fucking dentist, that bastard said they wouldn't have to come out.

May 21, 200420 yr True shibbeh My sister just got it done, she couldnt eat any solids for a few days. You can't fucking smoke for about 2 months, which is fucked, but its because the toxins will get into your open mouth wounds. You can't eat some things for like 6 weeks after too.
May 21, 200420 yr Funny, this girl i know just got her wisdom teeth taken out 2 days ago. Anyway from my experiece having my wisdom teeth pulled. It hurt like shit and I was throwing up blood for about the first 24 hours. Aside from a few things, thats about the worst experience i have ever had, so yea enjoy. :ownedd:

May 21, 200420 yr Has anyone gone through this before? Just wondering what to expect. Expect to throw up at least once if not more. If the anesthesia doesn't get you, the swallowing of blood will. Also expect a painkiller subscribtion (i got vicodin). It will be hard to eat for a week or two but it will pass and soon enough you'll be back to normal. Also, your cheeks may look like a chipmunk, kinda puffy and swollen.

May 21, 200420 yr heh i got 3 taken out about a month ago in bootcamp,i had popeye's jaw for 3 days, fuck the Vicodin or Hydrocodine drug took care of me very well, dont feel no pain, i was high in boot camp for 3 days lol,.... i saved 1 tablet 4 my pt-test :) make sure u get Hydrocodine! or Vicodin.
May 21, 200420 yr Jedi Pimp'] You wake up and your lips, mouth, tongue, and gums etc are all numb, you don't feel any pain yet and the only thing you can do is kind of spit out the saliva and blood. When i get my shit numbed up it got on tongue as well, therefore I couldnt spit. Just open my mouth and let it drip out really
