Posted September 10, 200816 yr Yesterday I was playing tf2 and there was a kid that no clipped through the whole map, grabbed our Intel, then dropped it outside of the map. Does anyone know how he did that. I was spectating him and he was in the sewers then he just crouched and fell through. The map was 2fort. And he did it more than once so it couldn't have been an accident.
September 10, 200816 yr Well xbox 360 really doesn't have much protection other then that it is a console, vac2 doesn't run on xbox 360 nor do any of the other steam utilities, so it is just a game. it is entirely possible to just modify the map files on the ISO and reburn them to your TF2 disc, presuming the maps are in the same format from the source SDK.

I'd rather not do all that, I was just wondering how he did it.
September 10, 200816 yr Jedi Pimp;584492']EXACTLY!! I tried telling Wav like 7-8 months ago that he could make a ton of cash developing 360 hacks for games that normally use VAC or Punkbuster. Find a way to put his code on a thumb drive and run that shit. Can you imagine how much fucking rage there would be. There would not be a way to enforce security without changing the entire gaming framework. I highly doubt they would implement anti-cheats on consoles. A simple ban from XBL is more like it. You couldn't use a thumb drive, you would need to edit the game and reburn the disc (obviously you would need a flashed 360), and yet still there are protective measures in place such as hashes, signatures and whatnot. You would go through quite a bit of 360's for the research, so I doubt anyone is willing to make such investment. Besides, with XBL people can send in complaints about you very easily, with the press of 3 buttons. One of the options is "modified console or modified game data." So regardless if its undetected, you wouldn't last long before people would start reporting you. So in my opinion, Wav did the right thing. Edited September 10, 200816 yr by twolvesfan624

September 10, 200816 yr its like halo2 modding all over again huh? you get the weirdest shit like that people connect to there xbox with ftp and edit shit i've seen it happen. guns that shoot jeeps and rocketlaunchers with unlimited ammo and no delay weird man
September 11, 200816 yr Could it be just a glitch in the map? Was he always in the sewer? Was he always the same class? Was it always in the same spot/area? There were TONS of glitches like this in TFC that still exist becauste Valve was too lazy to fix.
