So, I've heard that if you've got hosting, like on your own website, you can use it as a proxy to get around filters and the like..

But I've also read about that while that information is being passed through your proxy you can also sniff the packets as they're going through and can save usernames and passwords when they are passing through the script.

Does anyone know how to do this? I have complete access to my webserver minus the whole physical access bit.

Do you need a legit proxy or a logging proxy?

I can make you a proxy to save login details for *******/hotmail whatever, you just give the link out to friends at school and watch the log file grow.

Well, yes, but that's not the reason I want to put a proxy on my web host. I want to be able to mine the data that comes through so I can get usernames and passwords out of it.

I really thought that in a group of people dedicated to raging people - involving phishing of passwords - I figured someone would know how to do this. Sorry for assuming.

Okay, I figured out that I need to use strings like: strings $thefile|grep $KNOWN PASSWORD REGEX with CGi proxy.

I just don't know what to do with these strings.. I'm new to the hole webhosting seen LoL :O_o:
