September 25, 200816 yr I have one, the last generation one. But the only difference between the two is the new one has external volume controls and a better shape...the screen is exactly the same. I love mine, I use it all the time in class and it's nice when you want to check something but your computer is off.

September 25, 200816 yr It's a better deal to get the iPhone, to be honest. I have an iPod Touch 8gig new generation, but it's great as well. You can have notes, calendar, scientific calculator, movies, music, videos, internet, youtube, apps, irc, wallpapers, games, clock, timer, stop watch, alarm, almost everything. Now I payed around 300-400 for mine with warranty, and I still love it. It is very pricey, but if you want something for everything, then this is the iPod to get.
September 26, 200816 yr seriously get a touch if you don't already have a phone. two words. jail break. you can get hacked apps from the store. tons of free software and cooked rom's and homebrew apps and what not. its worth it my brother has one and can do so much with it.
September 27, 200816 yr Better off stealing or getting a used one since apple is always "$200 more expensive than anything else". If you're looking for touch screen players, the samsung p2, cowon d2 are your best choices for the price. Plus the cowon's expandable memory is an extra win. If you don't care about touch you can always go with the sansa view or fuze.
