Posted May 23, 200420 yr Really nice movie despite what some people said, it has a great story to it and alot of action, and the sword fight between hector and achilles just kicks the shit out of anything gladiator put out..I like this movie alot more then Gladiator, definatly worth the money to go see it The first part was even worth the money, I wouldve payed the money alone to see it...that was just an amazing move..leap, stab through shoulder into heart, pull out, all before he hits the ground.

May 23, 200420 yr I liked the movie as a whole but every time that fagot from LOTR got on i felt like killing him. Not only did he act the part badly but his part was just so fucking gay. The fighting was fucking awsome, but it did feel like somethign was missing.

The O'Toole effect alone make the movie worse than movies like American Buffalo. And the fighting scenes? There's one good fighting scene, between Achilles and Hector other than that, it's only 2 men waving a fucking pike and a shaky fucking camera. There's 20 minutes action in an "action" movie that's almost 3 hours... wow. omg, this movie sucked soo fucking bad, I don't even know how to express myself. BRAD PITT AS ACHILLES WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? AND WHAT WHERE THEY THINKING WHEN THEY ACTUALLY ALLOWED ORLANDO BLOOM TO MAKE ANOTHER MOVIE? arrrrrrrrrrrr sooo bad.

While it didn't stay very true to the iliad, and it surpassed it timewise, I thought they made a nice movie out of what they could.
May 24, 200420 yr its really hard to make a movie that follows every nit picky detail from the actual story. braveheart, for example, took major liberties when it came to producing the film. the battle of sterling bridge didnt even have a bridge in the entire scene, and this was the main reason the scots were able to win the battle, with tactics involving the bridge. although i havnt seen troy yet, i hear they really did butcher the story in some areas, still looks like a good movie though. btw eyereesh, nice to see other people interested in greek mythology. i really couldnt get enough of those stories a few years ago and have just recently gotten back into it.
