Nice StreetGlow sticker. Is it all stock?

Nah i replaced the headlights and swapped some internal lights also i have a K+n Cold air intake in the car

My current daily driver. Acura RSX-S. Looking into selling it and buying a truck, but I'm not 100% decided yet.

I broke one of my rims, so it has stock ones on at the moment:

@ Crashboss, you should get a heavy tint on the back windows, and a light tint up front and that ride would look clean. I'm not a fan of those new GTOs at all, but black on black like that looks pretty nice. I'd add a good tint job, throw in a good system and you're pretty much good to go for a pimpin' daily driver.

^^ Agree, boo to the new GTO's

this my fav series http://damox.com/cars/thumbs/Pontiac/1969_Pontiac_GTO_Judge_large.jpg

Dudes I'd totally drive the old G.O.A.T as a daily driver but that isn't going to happen in the near future.

Tint and sound system are my last priority. I am currently modifying the engine with the help of performance factory. So far it's only naturally aspirated (boltons and other goodies) and i am planning on using forced induction petty soon here.

I am running a sweet high 11 to mid 12 on the 1/4 mile. Car is a bitch to launch but w/e I make the best of it.

I would make a forced intake lower on your list, swap out a majority of eternals. Headeres, gaskets ect.... thus making the forced intake easier on the engine! If you have the bank account to manage it get some forged pistons to go along with some new headers and a block :facesj:

I'm going to go ahead and call BULLSHIT right about now. High 11 to mid 12 on a naturally aspirated GTO? LMFAO! No GTO has even gotten even close to that here at my track without a SC or nitrous. Please post a time slip showing 11.8-12.5.

My buddy runs his 04 GTO @ high 11's (11.8-12) while running 8.5 pounds on a procharger.

Unless you are running a Judge stroker (427) under the hood, there is no way your nat-asp. GTO is hitting low 12's (let alone 11's), without being a complete race rebuild of the engine. And you already stated it only has some "bold-ons".

No new GTO gets those times with "bolt ons". Scan of Time Slip please.

Stay Classy.

call whatever you like...i am running a 150 shot on the strip and a set of slicks...i didn't want to mention nitrous because then some faggot here was gonna say uhh your car isn't naturally aspirated. btw my engine is fully naturally aspirated...not just intake and exhaust...

My apologies then. I didn't know about the NoS because I definitely do not consider that a "bolt on". And yes, I understand about not wanting to mention it because of people saying shit on here. That's exactly why I didn't post any specs of my car. It's not worth getting into it with people on here over it.

A GTO with NoS is fully capable of the times you said, so once again sorry for doubting you I didn't know it had nitrous installed.

how long have you been running NoS? Its gonna be a big no no if you don't have your internals up to par, that engine will be blown in no time if your running nitrous on a mostly stock engine.

My father has his own company where i was/kind am employed as a mechanic, needless to say we see tons of people get turbos or superchargers or even nos, slap it on a stock car with maybe a cold/ram air intake and wonder why the hell their engine is toast! Take this suggest and don't blow it off! Not only will it save your current engine but it will make it faster and louder (and crome-ierrr? lol)

PS: Don't go with the cheapest shit! Go with big names like greddy racing, hedman, dynomax ect..... Personally for a GTO if you can find them get some greddies!!!

haha i know that man...obviously one shouldn't run a nitrous, turbo or supercharger system on stock internals because i don't think OEM parts can handle that much power. I have supporting mods for my nitrous but once again i only use nitrous when i am on the strip. It is a daily driver but gas is a bitch, that is where my r6 comes in play

I love my ls2 man...thing is a fucking beast except for the fact that it's heavy and hard to launch. :(

For some reason ford does the same with a mustand heavy with a good motor! Why doesn't anyone make a light car with a big ol motor ^_^ Do an engine swap from your GTO to a Geo Metro

a geo metro will be a geo metro the end of the day lol

i agree with you though...my brother owns and drives a 2002 c5 vette z06 with a TT setup. I am alright with cars (knowledge wise) but he has done some crazy shit to it man. Him and his buddies do this as a hobby...they are all electrical/mechanical engineers, so I'd understand.

yea i just thought of that shit off the top of my head lol, plus where i live a mustang or anything rear wheel drive better stay in the garage or you'll be spinning all over the place with the winters we have here

Back in the day I used to want to become a mechanical engineer so I could gain more skills to work on cars and open my own shop. I eventually majored in the different subject but did and still do spend all of my spare time working on my car and friends cars. I signed up for every automotive class ever offered in my high school and colleges. Plus gain a lot of experience with engines via the military. I am currently saving up to open my own tuner shop here in San Diego. I just signed another 5 year contract, but once that is up I will have more than enough saved in the bank to open my own shop, and keep it afloat until business picks up. It is a huge market here, and I cannot imaging having a better job than being paid to build race cars for people.

Non of my friends go to any mechanic now. They all bring their rides to me, and I charge them in beer, food, ect. I built the lower, and drive train for my buddies GTO I mentioned earlier. Did the entire rebuild of my RSXS myself, (with a few helping hands from friends for jobs that require more than one person.) Also built a monster out of an old F250 with the help of a buddy of mine, for his father.

Taking a stock car, and tearing it down and rebuilding it piece by piece for for the best power result until you end up with one bad ass rubber burning race car is one of the coolest feelings ever. Seeing it transform from a stock mode of transportation into something that is so wild a few of my friends refuse to drive with me in is simple amazing. Once I get that shop going I will be the happiest person ever. A friend of mine is working on starting up his own company to make his own line of custom parts. (headers, pistons, sleeves, rods, crank shafts, ect.) If all goes to plan my shop may be the first to offer them. 100% exclusive race engines, crated and ready for installation/sale.

Even thinking about it makes me want to go outside and do some work. But my RSXS is done. No point doing anything else as I am looking to sell it and buy a truck. Just kind of hard to find someone willing to throw down the $$$ for a fully built car. But I'm in no hurry. I'll most likely just end up buying a truck and keeping them both.

I'm studying Mechanical Engineering right now.

Nice. You've got some tough shit ahead of you, and a lot of work. But in the end you will have knowledge of, and a degree in, skills that are transferable into almost any field you want to work in. If you have the brains, trouble shooting, design skills, and 'working with your hands' abilities, it is one of the best degrees to have in my opinion. It will allow you to do anything from finding a nice quiet hobby that involves mechanical work that you enjoy doing, to making the big $$$ for design/engineering firms.

More power to ya, and good luck.
