Posted October 8, 200816 yr http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2008/10/new-in-labs-stop-sending-mail-you-later.html Sometimes I send messages I shouldn't send. Like the time I told that girl I had a crush on her over text message. Or the time I sent that late night email to my ex-girlfriend that we should get back together. Gmail can't always prevent you from sending messages you might later regret, but today we're launching a new Labs feature I wrote called Mail Goggles which may help. When you enable Mail Goggles, it will check that you're really sure you want to send that late night Friday email. And what better way to check than by making you solve a few simple math problems after you click send to verify you're in the right state of mind? Now if they'd only install something like that on everyone's cell phones.
October 8, 200816 yr genius, but who emails their ex in a drunken haze? its gotta be the call so the slurring in your voice is enunciated.
October 8, 200816 yr lol yeah I posted this on IRC last night. Im guessing some idiot that works for google drunk mailed an ex and was like "fuck what can I do about this...OH I KNOW GOOGLE GOGGLES!!!!!"
October 8, 200816 yr This would actually be perfect on my cell phone. The morning after a late night I always check my recent calls to see who I called over the night so I know who to straighten things out with.
October 9, 200816 yr they should make it for your phone, not e-mail. i wouldn't e-mail somebody if i needed to contact them, unless it's something on craigslist or something like that. edit: its nice to be back
