Badass director. He directed "In Bruges" which is my favorite movie of all time. He also has one or two short films which are pretty slick themselves. Six shooter is my favorite of his short films, it's pretty fucked up however.

I must dissent from your opinion. Martin McDonagh has no taste, no originality, no wit, and no twistedness that would really appall anyone in today's society. His movie In Bruges (not that he has any others) has a copious amount of violence and cursing, but also with an annoying dosage of humor. This movie reminds me of Quentin Tarantino films such as Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, however the humor in In Bruges fails and makes the movie unreal. If you want something "sick" with realistic and "sophisticated" acting, watch Taxi Driver with Robert DeNiro and directed by Martin Scorsese. This movie feels real and contains no stupid witty humor that seems to be a prerequisite in today's movie scripts. (Other good Scorsese/DeNiro films include: The Goodfellas, Casino, Raging Bull, and Mean Streets)

As for Six Shooter, it is a short film and therefore fails as well.
