Posted October 13, 200816 yr Question: Anwyays, I am currently learning VB.NET, I was just wondering if I should say fuck it and move to C++ since VB.NET has no future... well, that's what ppl say :) Since in C++, you can learn C# in three weeks after you've finished C++....then you can try C++.NET which is like microsoft's failed attempt to add a GUI... The only difference is that VB, there's a gui as soon as you start, and in C++ there isnt a gui till further down the road. So is C++ worth the "wait"?
October 13, 200816 yr VB.NET will soon you realize be a waste of your time, consider switching to C++ immediately.
October 14, 200816 yr Why does everything have to have a GUI you little homo? Do you actually want to learn to code or just make GUI's?
October 14, 200816 yr Author Thanks Derkaiser, that's what I thought, vb isnt go far... Ghizzle, never said I needed a gui. I only compared vb and C++ by stating facts, get over it. Anyways, Ill go ahead and start C++ since VB.NET is very limited and C++ might be a bit harder but more useful.

January 12, 200916 yr Learn C++, although its extensive, it's well worth your time. With C++, anything is possible, not to mention no need for run-time files =]
