November 9, 200816 yr If you like Dark Tranquility, check out Insomnium. Opeth is gay, so get Behemoth. Definitely check out Kalmah. At The Gates for some older, more traditional stuff. Nile and Necrophagist for some brutal technical death metal. For newer hardcore/metalcore shit definitly stick with Through The Eyes Of The Dead or The Number 12 Looks Like You. Just a few random bands off the top of my head. Get more specific with styles of metal you like, and you'll get a better reply. Well, better than everyone on here spewing what is 'real metal' while probably saying shit like 'Megadeth' and 'Slayer'.

I saw Origin when they opened for dying fetus...the pit was insane...my friend has a huge scar running down his back from being slammed into a wall and I was kicked in the spine.
