And why did AC/DC and Metallica release new albums? Bands from the 70s and 80s need to stop trying. GnR today, however, is not the same band, plain and simple. Axl is too old to hit the same upper range he could in his youth, but that doesn't stop him from trying. The only reason the new band is called GnR is because Axl blackmailed the rest of the band members, refusing to go on stage at the last minute unless they legally surrendered all rights to the name.

People with nothing to contribute besides 'zomg IDONTLIKEIT' should stfu and stay out of the thread unless they know what they're speaking about. Axl's voice majorly pisses me off and always has. I liked Slash's work with them but I didn't really notice anything special about the rest of the band. I don't really know whether it is one of the above reasons or whatever, GnR just piss me off overall. Not even Axl's anus voice can ruin November Rain though. I prefer melo-DM but am partial to classical piano. "Classic rock" has always been a genre where I still have respect for it dispite my distaste for it. I was brought up with GnR, Bon Jovi, Journey, Boston, that malarky and didn't mind the latter 2 bands.
