I have a 1992 Nissan Sentra (Similar to this, but mine is like the baby blue color)

After much research, I am thinking about putting this spoiler on the back of it.

I am basically looking for a car enthusiasts viewpoint on this as a regular bystander really knows nothing about tuning cars. If it's any help, the name of the spoiler is "stealth". Sweet or no?

Uhh, I don't think it would look to great. Maybe you should first save up for a better car. Idk, i don't know much about cars.

No, why?

A- Will look ugly

B- Serves no purpose

C AKA B Continued - your car doesn't need the downforce of a wing

D- Get it if you want your car to look ricer...

def worth it, it will improve your horsepower, and miles to the gallon

He's talking about a spoiler, not rubbing cheetah blood on the engine.

FUCKING HOMO! DON'T EVER DO THAT! unless your a chav with a fat girl friend.
a spoiler is a fucking ridiculous option on a shitty car like that. save your money for a proper sports car.

If you put it in the back, it will be too short to provide improved aerodynamics. Instead consider placing it on the top or on the front. Here is a picture explaining airflow:

A guy I know is giving me a deal on the "stealth" spoiler for $550. I think I'm going to take it because it's a great deal.

This spoiler will definitely decrease your braking distance. According to my calculations it would be equivalent to installing these:

The spoiler with add around 50 horsepower if my calculations are correct. If you want more, just add many random stickers of cool sounding brands on the sides of your car for a gain of 1-10 hp each. Then get an exhaust that makes your car sound like a lawn mower for a whopping +180 horses!

As mentioned, spoilers are great for increased gas mileage and reduced breaking distance, but if you really want to make the most of that $550 you should look into getting a pair of these bad boys:

I mean the horns of course. The horns won't reduce your breaking distance as much and will lower your gas mileage but will increase your acceleration by at least 2. They would look badass on your sweet Nissan, too.

as many other in this thread, i have done some personal calculations, which show purchasing that specific spoiler will save you about 3,000 dollars a year on gas. basically, when you have a stealth spoiler, your car uses almost no gas, you basically just start the engine to get it going and then it floats along like a kite or a sailboat. i have 4 spoilers on my car. 3 on the roof; for reasons john explained earlier in the thread.
