Posted December 10, 200816 yr Ok, so for the past two weeks or so, every morning I have been waking up with a bleeding nose, and I don't just mean bleeding I mean pouring. I have to get an old sock or some shit and run to the bathroom and jump in the shower until it stops. It usually stops pretty quickly but today, it took longer than usual, then in the middle of the day it just fucking randomly started, I did the shower routine etc then about an hour ago IT STARTED AGAIN. I went to the shower and spent like 45 minutes in there trying to bleed it out until it stopped. I am hoping it is just be because of the hot weather or something, but could I have something seriously wrong with me?
December 10, 200816 yr go see an actual doctor instead of asking on the myg0t forums? put pressure on thr soft part of your nose to stop the bleeding and breathe through your mouth.. do NOT tilt your head back but forward.. otherwise your blood will just clot and block your airway/you swallow a whole load of blood and vomit. have you had a cold or something/change of weather?/ on aspirin or any other NSAID's? there could be a number of reasons why your bleeding.

Change of weather yeah, also I have taken been getting something from the pharmacist to help me sleep.
December 10, 200816 yr i used to get bloody noses every day back in high school in the same damn class... the teacher thought i was doing coke or some shit and would take me out in the hall to ask me if i was alright and "needed some help." lol but honestly if you go to the doctor they're going to cauterize your nose. they stick like a soldering iron in there and burn the vessels shut. when it happens jam some paper towel in there and go on about your business unless you want your nose burnt to shit.
December 10, 200816 yr Author I would rather do that and never worry about it again. Sucks waking up with that disgusting feeling of warm blood about to pour from your nose and all in your throat, i always get it all over the floor and sometimes I have to wash my sheets.
December 10, 200816 yr this happened to a friend of mine. you need your nose cotarized. go see a doctor and he'll fix that shit up.
December 10, 200816 yr You must be chinese...all the chinese kids in my school would have random nosebleeds.
December 10, 200816 yr high blood pressure? i used to get these a lot and they would last for 20-30 minutes at a time. but if you do get ur nose cauterized, they dont do anything to numb you up they just make you lay down then go for it. it hurts pretty bad.

One of the big things about bloody noses in younger people is the fact that they don't consume enough fruits and vegetables. A key to stopping bloody noses is Vitamin K, which is present in a lot of vegetables such as broccoli and cabbage. Deficiency in Vitamin K would lead to immature clotting factors responsible for preventing hemmoraging. If you don't eat much vegetables or fruits, try eating more of those and see if they help. If you're strongly opposed to eating vegetables, consider taking a multivitamin. Get your blood pressure tested and make sure it's not high. Normal values are below 140/90. If your blood pressure is above this level, you have hypertension and should see a doctor about this. Finally, do you have any other symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, etc. Also, are you on any medications such as blood thinners or aspirin? Are you also taking any supplements?
December 10, 200816 yr u ned moar vitamin see Vitamin C deficiency could also be another cause as well. Almost forgot about that. Thanks.
December 11, 200816 yr i actually have high blood pressure (I think thats what it is) where if i go awhile without eating i get shaky and uncomfortable. i also took aspirin a lot due to excessive headaches when i was younger, so thats why i got my bloody noses.

Are you currently taking aspirin or any blood thinners such as heparin or coumadin/warfarin? Reason I ask is that aspirin doesn't have a long term effect like this. Aspirin works by inhibiting COX2 in circulating platelets, which have a lifespan of around 7-10 days. This means that once the platelets are replaced by new ones, the effects of aspirin wears off after you stop taking it for a week. I don't know how often these bloody noses happen, but check your blood pressure and if it's normal (below 120/80), go to a doctor and have them run a test for prothrombin time and APTT. Feeling shaky after not eating for a while isn't due to high blood pressure, it's hypoglycemia, low blood sugar in your system. It happens to a lot of people, and usually means you need to eat more often.

December 11, 200816 yr How old are you? 19 also my temp is always 96 degrees idk whats up with my bodys homeostasis
December 11, 200816 yr sideways;598693']19 also my temp is always 96 degrees idk whats up with my bodys homeostasis 96 degrees isn't too big of an issue, certain people have lower body temperatures. I'm more worried about your blood pressure. Does your family have a history of hypertension? You're 19 years old and have systolic hypertension, defined as a systolic BP of 140 or higher. Your diastole is normal, but systolic pressure is quite high considering your age.

I'm 24 and my blood pressure on average is ~115/75. Since your family has a history of heart problems and hypertension, definitely watch your diet, reduce salt intake and get more exercise. Also, get regular checkups and blood work done. Having a family history of hypertension does pre-dispose you to problems, but with the right diet and lifestyle, it's manageable.
