Installation went well. The processor installation scared the hell out of me, and the heatsink was a pain in the ass 'cause I had very little room. Then, installing Windows was a pain, because it kept disabling my keyboard so I couldn't do anything. I ended up having to reset the CMOS twice. But now it's running fine.

 

The only thing I can't get to work is the sound. Pics will be up later.

Actually, if I had much more money I would've bought an E8400. But I don't. Setup was a breeze for the most part. I tested Crysis today and I can get really smooth frames playing on medium. Huge improvement from my previous PC.

Yep. Newegg. My brother also gave me a $25 gift certificate so that brought the cost down.

 

I don't see why they're ripping on my rig. It can easily pull of all the latest games.

 

When I get some more money I'll think of getting a new PSU and a Phenom II processor.

Very nice setup. It'll last a while. The only things that are questionable are the PSU and the mobo. ASUS doesn't make very good mobos and I'd trust Corsair with a PSU over any other company.

In the name of rage. I paid $52 for my 5000+, and it's fast. You'd pay $160 for your E8400, which is fast and all, but over $100 more.
