They want to use those weapons on Israel. Israel will not allow Iran to obtain those nuclear weapons. Right now the UN is predicting that Iran could be finished with a nuclear weapon in three years. Israel, feeling that it is being backed into a corner will have no choice but to bomb every Iranian nuclear research and production facility. This will be the event that triggers the start of world war 3. You can expect this event to happen within the next 18 - 24 months. When it does happen, the US will side with Israel. The UK and France will side with the US. The Arab world will side with Iran. Russia and China will side with Iran. World war 3 will be fought using conventional weapons. The center of the battleground will be Syria and Iran. Syria is just unlucky enough to be right between Israel and Iran.
