After reading his reply I did a little searching and found that the Army has gotten rid of decals and just use the ID check. I don't know why we still use the decals as we do 100% ID checks as well. I know having a decal used to work almost as an express lane for base entry, but now that we do ID checks on every vehicle there isn't much point in also requiring the decals. I guess just as an added security. Quick question. Let's say you got pulled over for speeding. Would you be able to bs your way out of it, using that military sticker?

I've gotten out of a ticket before, due to the cop being a former Marine. I have probably gotten out of being pulled over a few times because of the Marine Corps emblem on the back of my car. Cops have come up behind me when I was sure I was going to get a ticket, but then they just kept going after being behind me a for a little while. A lot of law enforcement personnel are former military. On base is another story. The MPs on base are bored so they pull people over for anything. No turn signal, 5 mph over the limit, ect. Tickets on base work differently though. (for AD personnel stationed there) You aren't fined any money, but they deduct points from you. Once all your points are gone, you aren't allowed to drive on base at all. Happened to a guy I know, he had to have his buddy drive his car off base and he wasn't allowed to ever bring it back on. Had to walk off base across the street to get to his car. Edited February 10, 200916 yr by Captian
February 10, 200916 yr Author I have much respect for all soldiers, but to Marines, x2. I watched a documentary on the documentary channel about the Marines in training. It was called Eyes open, ears click, or something like that. Anyway, the shit they went through was an eye-opener. +respect
