sounds like one of those loops that come with a keyboard, and then pressing some random keys.

EDIT: it might be decent if you used a different scale and added another background beat into it, like a drum hit or something

blocky']alpha do you have nothing better to do on a friday night than attempt to flame me in every thread i post in?

you have nothing better to do than make up crappy "techno" and ask people on a forum if its good... it might be flaming but I think alpha is right.

blocky, its better than the other stuff.. it would be better if it had a better atmosphere or something (trying to find the word) its good.. what program do you use?
Sire what do you mean by a "hook"?

ahahahahahahhaahhaha

Jedi Pimp']Dude, have you spent any time listening to techno before trying to lay these tracks?

They are weak. Seriously they sound like fucking John Carpenter's 1980s movie soundtrack scores.

First off learn to sequence your shit better. You shoot your whole load within the first 30-40 seconds. You have no build up.

Next, establish a fucking tempo. Your shit sounds like random keyboard notes. Also they are louder than the rest of the fucking tracks, which makes it even that much more n00bish.

Finally, create a fucking hook, and learn how to loop it when appropriate.

Take this as constructive criticism

couldnt have said it better myself.

Blocky, I've heard a LOT of techno, and to be honest, most of it is

a.) Shit

or

b.) A rip-off, and therefore shit

It's difficult to make a good techno song. What jedi said is right, you have to build up, and you must have a "hook".

Keep practicing.

needs to break into soemthing a little bit more nuts or somehting, and a few proper drum beats wouldnt go a miss.
Daft Punk is realllly good techno, maybe you should listen to them for some inspiration/ideas.

Without ripping them off of course.

something that "hooks" the listener into keep listening?

WHAT THE HOOK GON BE OH OH I DONT NEED HOKK ON TEHIS BEAT

It's actually nice for playing a massive guitar solo over.

need to add in sound effects like Reverb, Chorus, Delay which I did hear some.

Sounds like you are using MIDI...you need MIDI effects or

in Cakewalk record the MIDI into an AUDIO file format then as an AUDIO file

add in any effect you want. You could use Creative SB Reverb environment.....would sound the ballz.

EDIT: I just played it with the Creative REVERB on Auditorium....

Sounds great.

WHAT THE HOOK GON BE OH OH I DONT NEED HOKK ON TEHIS BEAT

rifk :bowrofl: i can actually imagine a negro saying that.

Man daft punk kick ass. Normally I cant stand any techno music but i cant stop listening to that harder, better, faster, stronger song. In fact if i wasnt listening to amen id probably be listening to that right now.

Anyway, daft punk isnt pure techno like moosey is doing, they use guitars and have (limited) lyrics.
