The only thing that irks me more than the cops tasering him is all the losers shouting things like "freedom of speech, holmes" and "OMG STOP" but they keep more than 10 feet away and don't attempt to do anything. Wussies. I would have gone up to the copper's face and given him the time of day.

Right, I get that part. But the taser seemed a little excessive. I guess it makes sense, though, since he wasn't letting them handcuff him. And the grab for the cop's belt was a stupid move. Decency, though, is completely relative.

Fuck yeah taze the hippie! He was doing something illegal. The cops gave him a chance to walk away without charges... he decided to still be a douche. They tried to restrain him physically, he fought... they warned him he was gonna get zapped, he fought.

 

When you get tazed, it feels like you got hit by a brick wall, and you pretty much lose control of your limbs. Nightsticks hurt, but don't really stop someone without excessive beating. These guys tried physical restraint, and rather than beat the shit out of him with a nightstick to make him stop, they tazed him. That's not excessive, that subduing someone resisting arrest without causing serious damage.

 

Tazers are non-lethal. Sure they have killed a few, but so has fucking pepperspray!
