Last I heard france was among one of the dirtiest countries in the world. I doubt banning SUV's will solve much.

i'd be pissed if i was in france. how can they ban something just because of what type of vehicle it is? i can see if they ban any vehicle that pollutes more than a certain amount, or is bigger than a certain size, but banning any suv seems stupid to me. im sure there are other types of vehicles that pollute more than a certain suv, and like someone else said pickup trucks are bigger than suvs anyways, so why ban just a certain type of vehicle?
I'm pretty sure that pickup truck owners are an extreme minority in France.
This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. The U.S. is all about freedom and if you have the money, get the biggest and most bad ass car you can find. If thats a hummer or a porche, its up to you. If all the rich people switched to smaller, sport cars instead of there 50,000 SUV's then the gas prices would still be higher. You have to buy the real expensive supreme shit for those cars for their engines. Well, that makes sense to me.

Im sure if people actually bought pickups, they would probably banthem too in France. Truth is, no one would buy such unnecessary vehicles there...wel unless it's your profession is haul stuff or are a farmer.

 

And hysteria, I'm sorry if my concern for the environment ( and future generations such as my kids ) makes you a little raged. Stop posting some stupid, unsupported, brainless post everytime i say something. What does my ability to buy and SUV have to do with any of this.
