Posted November 30, 201014 yr I am a rager, meaning I ruin video games for my own personal enjoyment. Despite how it may seem, I have not always been one for my entire life. As my personal conundrums grew over time, however, I began to develop a personal satisfaction for causing trouble, disorder, animosity, and anger among other people, beginning with my infatuation with the internet. I had only begun using video games as a medium for this quality of mine since I became interested in myg0t back in mid-2007. The more I got tired of playing Counter-Strike: Source to win, I became more intrigued about the art of raging, perhaps as a way of taking out my frustrations on the game by making it a living hell for everyone else. I began as an HLSS kiddie, blasting annoying sounds and hearing one-two-many “shut the fuck ups” in my time, and then I moved on to being a lone script kiddie with public hacks, battling it out with angry nerds in public CS:S servers. Over time I discovered new ways to push peoples' buttons, and like most people, I became a member of myg0t as I reached a certain level of recognition for my actions. This sort of past-time has become second nature to me. Day in and day out, the line between fiction and reality for me is blurring, as I treat real life almost in the same way I treat video games, buy why? Why do I possess such “sociopathic” desires and tendencies? There is no one reason, but an important one is my Jewish heritage and status that was bestowed on me upon birth (presumably). Being a Jew has greatly influenced me as a rager and a member of myg0t. Only my father's side is Jewish, to the extent of my knowledge, but nevertheless I was raised with at least some Jewish values, namely pacifism. I have almost always been a nonviolent person throughout my life, and a weak one, too. This would mean that I was often left out when everyone else played games during recess, and a subject of mockery among my peers and friends. It didn't bother me that much at first, but I became fed up with it over time. When I realized nothing could be done about it, I decided to let go of my frustrations, and continued on with my life. But, there was one quality that struck me the most, and that was the fact that I was a lone Jew among a sea of Christian children. I was the odd one out, and this made me feel excluded from many of the activities and gatherings that seemed to bring everyone together (that I knew of). Sometimes my friends would make stereotypes and racist jokes about Jewish people around me, but by then I was semi-desensitized already. I had taken humor in many things that would have shocked and disgusted my superiors, and I knew it was wrong, so I became more sensitive towards my Jewish heritage. This angst from my exclusion and mockery still had sat inside me, though. Video games, namely first-person shooters, then became my escape for this, at first. This didn't last as long as I would have preferred, however. I began to become frustrated with losing (like all people experience at least once), but I was too hooked to this to quit, as it was my only refuge from the real world. One day, myg0t came into my mind, which I had known about since 2004 when I began playing CS 1.6 during the dawn of Steam. I began searching videos on YouTube, watching rages from people like DonkeyPunch and Leopulse. I decided that I would embark on this glorious past-time, and take out my childhood frustrations for being small, weak, and Jewish. It was so fantastic that it became a daily habit of mine to harass individuals in video games. I would even come out as Jewish to my foolish rage victims to incite more hatred in them for me, provoking them to call me all sorts of slurs and insults, as I knew it would make me an easy target for verbal harassment. It didn't seem to bother me anymore. It strengthened me as a rager, as I began from the perspective of a minority who had been denied from nearly everything. It helped me understand my prey, and myself, so I continued to rage and eventually I became a member of myg0t. By then, I had already admitted, in IRC, to being a Jew. Of course, my compatriots in myg0t, being who they are, would make fun of me for such, but it was normal, and taught me how to deal with hostility and complete animosity, and that had made me an exceptional rager. Despite my people being persecuted for several millennia, being met with hostility, and myself being harassed in my early years, I learned to use this as a way to reinforce myself as a sociopath-in-development. Seeing things from the opposite perspective improves ones capabilities no matter what the circumstances or mediums are. For me, being a Jew has greatly influenced my ability as a rager and a member of myg0t.
