Only if he allows it.

kthx0r;635176']Only if he allows it.

Alright, thank you.

Is there a chance he could survive his ordeal? If so we need to do anything we can to help.

Just in case this is serious, throat cancer is becoming something of an epidemic in the last 10 years, and it's linked to certain strains of sexually transmitted humanpapilloma virus HPV (AKA the virus that causes genital warts) that are spreading quickly as a consequence of sexual liberation (slutty behavior being considered normal and very common)

an unexpected increase in oropharyngeal cancer, which develops in the tonsils and the base of the tongue and is apt to show up in those who don't smoke or drink heavily, and in younger people. Earlier this month, researchers from Johns Hopkins reported in the Journal of Clinical Oncology that between 1973 and 2004 there had been a near doubling of the incidence of these HPV-related oral cancers among people in their 40s.

It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure out that this rise in oropharyngeal cancer is linked to changing sexual practices and, in particular, ones that involve bathing the throat with HPV-infected fluid.

They only recently discovered this cancer connection around the past 10 years. People usually think of warts as an ugly blemish but nothing serious, turns out IT DIRECTLY GIVES YOU FUCKING CANCER. (Increases your likelihood by a huge %)

There's a new vaccine called Guardasil that came out in 2006 that every kid gets with the rest of their vaccination shots (gives you an idea of how serious and how recent the discovery is). In other words, none of us posting have the vaccine and are liable to get infected if you fuck around with sluts. The result, if you have a "high risk" strain of HPV (which the vaccine protects you against) is that your mouth is just a time bomb that gives you a high chance of getting mouth/throat/head/neck cancer in your 30s or 40s.

What's even scarier: you won't know if you/your "partner" have it from standard or full-range STD tests. Your STD test does not detect HPV, and you can't detect it with a blood sample. Even if they test clean there's a good chance they can have it if they're slutty (=sexual contact with 6 or more people according to epidemiologists lol). This is one of the only tests available for oral HPV, the kind that gives you throat cancer, and it literally came out just a year ago.

as for warts on your vag or dick, you have to get them biopsied (cut off and sent to a lab) to determine if they're high-risk cancer causing strain. So remember CLEARING AN STD CHECKS DOES NOT MEAN SHIT regarding cancer-causing HPV.

Check this out, this article literally came out 36 minutes after I started writing this (saw it while googling)

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/science-news/8336499/All-boys-should-be-vaccinated-against-a-sexually-transmitted-virus.html

Rates of oral cancer among young people in Britain have more than doubled in the last three decades fuelled mainly by the sexual revolution, claim scientists.

Whereas smoking and drinking used to be the major cause of the disease it is now caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV), the same one that causes cervical cancer in girls.

A previous study has shown that people who have had oral sex with more than six partners were 8.6 times more likely to develop the cancer than those who had never indulged in it.

Smokers were only three times more likely to get throat cancer and drinkers just two and a half times.

Now the situation has become so grave that a leading cancer specialist is calling for governments to seriously consider vaccinating boys against the virus before they start having sex.

is that you trying to read compound sentences and words with more than 3 syllables?

don't forget, you fall into the pre-Gardasil period of vaccinations and unless you're a lonely virgin (which is a LOT of myg0t so you guys are safe) you probably have a cancer bomb

Actually, Gardasil was created because it protects against cervical cancer in women, which was found to be highly linked to HPV types 16 and 18. The reason why the vaccine exists is because cervical cancer is so common and that many cases are linked to these high risk HPV types. The incidence of penile, anal, and OP cancer is so low that it would not be of great economic value to make something like gardasil to treat just those conditions, though in theory, immunizing people with it could probably lower incidence of those cancers a bit.

True, the standard STD test will not test for HPV, but the caveat to that statement is that if the patient is female, we'd do annual pap smears on them, which would be tested for HPV if it comes up abnormal. This usually will identify high risk HPV strains like 16 and 18.

Actually, most warts will resolve on their own, and most people don't even get it looked at. Of the people who do, however, they can be biopsied and sent for patho, but a lot of cases it looks benign enough that we could just freeze it with cryotherapy and slowly chip it off similar to warts on hands and toes. Also, the strains of HPV that cause warts are rarely ever responsible for cancers.

Well, don't know if I'd agree with universally vaccinating males against HPV, but wouldn't be very harmful. The vaccine is one of the safest out there, and if nothing else, would prevent some unsightly genital warts more so than anything else.

hey dude, you never responded to my other (much better) post in the "myg0t irl achievement" thread

but it's funny reading your post. the HPV-cancer connection was first discovered with cervical cancer, and that's what prompted the vaccine.

it's only recently that they've discovered that 1 out of every 4 throat, head, neck, and oral cancers are directly caused by those same high risk HPV strains that they originally discovered as the cause of cervical cancer.

like i said, this is literally an epidemic getting worse each year because it's a ticking time bomb for those infected with a 10-20 year fuse, and no one has made the connection until the oral cancer rates soared in a short period of time leaving Drs scrambling for an explanation. shitread the very last link I posted and it clears up all the doubt you just posted, as will a simple google search.

ask this guy if they ever biopsied his tumor, depends on the hospital/cancer center/funds, but if he has, for someone as young as he is judging from the pic it's prob HPV related.

so if you've ever eaten out some skank or sucked a dirty dick in your life.... good luck my friend.

Sooo kthx0r did knobjockey say anything about me getting a couple of his kangaroos if he dies?

No, it's more likely you had a bloody nose recently during that time and you coughed not too long after that - Most likely cause of bloody cough/sputum, especially if it happened only once. Other things to think about is, have you had any fever, weight loss, night sweats, and chills all the time? If you have some of these later signs, those are red flags that mean something else is going on such as cancer or TB. That's when you'd need to seek help.

Depends on the bacteria. If you're having food poisoning, most cases are viral to begin with, which means no antibiotic would help. If it was bacteria, then it'd depend on what the culture shows. If it's Shigella, you'd treat with Cipro po just because it would shorten the duration of the disease. If your stool is Clostridium difficile toxin positive or you recently used antibiotics and think that it might be due to that, you'd need the stool tested for the toxin and be started with Flagyl po for 14 days to treat it. Most cases otherwise, however, is just symptomatic treatment by keeping yourself hydrated. Also, do not use stuff like Immodium, which actually causes the pathogen to stay in your GI tract longer.

Finally, is that as far as you can pull back the foreskin? If you can't bring out the Leprechaun anymore than that, means you're starting to have signs of phimosis and would want to see a urology.

Well... different people say different things work better for them. The nicoderm patch is usually pretty effective, just because as long as you don't smoke while you're on it, it's pretty hard to get it wrong. The main issue is that you never want to use the patch and then decide to smoke, as it can cause some neurological problems. The gum is also effective, but you just have to use it correctly. You chew it until it feels a bit tingly and then push it against the side of your mouth and allow it to absorb the nicotine. A lot of people try the gum and say it doesn't work at all because they just chew it and swallow the nicotine, which doesn't get absorbed that way. The main thing is, throw out the cigs, try one of these nicotine replacement methods, and don't frequent places like clubs where others smoke and may cause temptation. If that stuff fails, then there's other medications that can be used as well, but those will require prescriptions.

ok before you go around with this info Mr "Dr House" I think you need to answer the question posed to you in the "myg0t IRL achievement" thread

namely: what is the highest level of education you have attained? Training as a nurse's assistant?
