June 22, 200420 yr I'd welcome being sued. Personally the easiest defense here is gonna be that your cheat is a modifcation to the game. I wanna see them seperate mod from cheat in a court. Personally I'd find that very hard for them to do. I could go make a HL mod today with every cheat built in and put it out as a mod, really be no difference. Even if they did win, big deal, cheats go back to underground as the best ones are at anyways. Share em via torrent, p2p, irc, etc.
June 22, 200420 yr I'm just wondernig but what if some smart ass from VALVe decided to change the ToA? Maybe add a line like "this software belongs to VALVe" and add a few more things that would prevent cheating from being legal. Of course if you disagree you could still play CS on an older version or something cause if you couldn't users could go off suing VALVe.
