July 6, 200420 yr americans make fun of canada for no reason at all and its not like they actually mean it, at least thats how i feel. i dont know how canada is society/government wise, but i sure as hell like the relaxed attitude on substances. being able to drink at 18 makes sense, and more relaxed laws on marijuana are smart and should be taken up in more areas.

Awesome weed, people, snowboarding, and jesus, where else can you stand on any street in the city and get a view of the Rockies that kicks you in the balls? Everyone is chinese. Even I'm chinese when I let my guard down. Toronto, on the left end, is very mixed, black, white, asian, but less-so brown. Scarborough is entirely brown. It's fucking insane. Every time I go down there I have to make sure I don't eat for a few hours prior so I don't heave warm vomit all over the city whenever I go. It smells like curry. HOWEVER. Despite the staggering concentration of asians and browns and, to a lesser extent, blacks, in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (affectionately called the GTA), once you get about a mile or two north of my town, there is a reward. A $500,000,000 reward for actual evidence of any kind of minority living in that region. Even black people. It is so white that you have to shield your eyes from the glare. I defy you to find a single chinese person in Bethesda or Almira or similarly hilarious-named towns. When I go visit my friends who live in the small towns north of the GTA, or go to my cottage 150 miles north of Toronto, I feel at home. There is this sense of belonging that I believe only the most white-trash of American cities can offer. And that's my two cents.

And that's my two cents. hahaaha the scarborough thing is so true. well i live in vancouver and its so chinese that its not funny. its basically just my school, but its 85% asian. uhm and noowhere in BC can you stand and see the rockies unless you live in some ass backwards redneck boonie town east of civillization. You can see the Lions and Grouse, Seymor, Cypress from basically anywhere in van, though. Good call on the snowboarding and such :D
