Is anyone a dj in real life ? Because i want to start somewhere and I might get some studio dj equipment for my birthday , im just going to be doing some techno shit and mixing some songs and maybe some hip hop turntablism , do you need seperate equipment for everything? can anyone tell me about it

i beleive that

xdenialx is a spinna

before you get into buying stuff you don't need first decide what you are gonna do and why. many people buy the stuff, figure out its hard to make anything good and sell it again.

yah very hard. you have to develop style and learn new kuts and invent shit. watch the movie skratch, its really informative and neat. ya you can basically use the same equipment but make sure you get direct drive tables, not belt drive, cause the belt will jsut snap when u try and kut. mixing is too easy compared to kutting. basically if you wanna buy d3ecks go for pdx-2000s by vestax, or technic 1200s. those are basically the best shit you can get. as for mixers, it personal preference. i dont really like numark mixers cause the upfader cut out too fast, but i dunno. the decks should be anywhere from 300-600 CDN, and mixer should be anywhere from 200-600 cdn. you also need slipmats and needles/cartridges, and records n such. just practice practice practice and get your own style. most importantly you gotta do it for the lov of the music dont just do it cause u thin it will get you chicks or cause u saw someone kutting on tv and it looked cool. thx for ur tiem.
