July 2, 200420 yr Fraps sucks and when recording with it drops your FPS down to like 10. Just record demo's, and if you want convert them into movies.

July 2, 200420 yr The key to Fraps... 1. Record a basic demo 2. Turn down the resolution to around 640x400 3. Playback the demo while recording in Fraps 4. Make sure you record at half size Even shitty computers can record with that process.

July 6, 200420 yr I run fraps on my current pc (2.66Ghz, 9600 pro, 1gb pc2700 ram) and it runs just as good as it did on my old pc (565Mhz celeron, onboard video, 190mb valuram)
July 6, 200420 yr You can record the movies at full size and good quality, if your computer can take it. After that you open the movie on some editing program like movie maker or adobe premium, make the movie there, and its done, from 800mb to a minimal 2, maybe 3mb movie.

July 6, 200420 yr ignore the retards that posted above. if your computer cant handle recording wif fraps, you dont have the settings right. Put your resolution on lowest in-game because thats what gives the biggest performance hit. set fraps to 15 fps and go record. If it still sucks then throw ur shitbox out the window.
July 6, 200420 yr FAK3R']if recording with fraps has a huge hit on your gameplay you need a new fucking computer faggot i used fraps with warcraft 3 once and it cut my fps down to about 25. im running an athlon 2.4ghz with radeon 9600 pro and 512+256megs of DDR ram. what the hell system do you have that allows you to play with unafffected while running fraps? must be a supercomputer. unless you set your game resolution down to 640x480 before recording.
