July 25, 200420 yr sad to hear man - not just that you arent make art anymore but that you are going into the navy - you must be an action junky or a (sorry to say) complete idiot b/c unless you havent notice we have a jackass of a president who will not hessitate to send you to your death. i dont see a point in fighting for him to make more money...... if i was you id stay in the states and goto school and work on your comp shit.... well to give you a heads up, i went with my heart on this decision. most of my family are marines and the medical personnel to marine ratio is 50:1. if they have to be out there getting shot at then i want to be in the med tent ready to receive them and send them back my family. and by a lot of marines in active duty in my family i mean like 12. plus 3 in the navy and 2 in the army. it took me 7 months to make this decision and i think/believe (however naive i may be) that my choice in this situation is right. i am by no means fighting for our government. i am by no means going to be fighting. i am going in to save lives. lives that could be my own family. either side of the political spectrum that you believe in or will stand up for, im sure everyone can agree on saving your own families lives. wouldnt you agree? besides, my training (Medical School in the states as you suggested) is 2 years long. there may not be a war to fight in iraq by then. You never know. i am specifically going in to become a Hospital Corpsman. yeah i will be behind a trigger and on the frontlines but i am prepared to make that sacrifice, for like i said; my family.
