July 19, 200420 yr Obviously, you haven't been around for very long, punkbuster was a shitty attempt to protect counter-strike. In my opinion of the best that was ever done by amateurs is cheating-death. Although it has its flaws, it worked a lot better than punkbuster. but it was still easily circumvented. Bringing punkbuster back to counter-strike will do nothing.
July 19, 200420 yr CD and CSGuard were the best Anti-Cheats around. I remember reading an interview with one of the cheat coders saying that back with CD and CSguard he was really having a hard time staying ahead of them. Punkbuster is the worst Anti-Cheat ever, anyone that uses hacks knows this.

July 19, 200420 yr PB was on cs servers before they were even steam. Turns out that if you want to cheat all you have to do is put the cheat out of the hl folder and pb will never detect your cheats.
