So it wont follow the game's/comics'/books' storylines. thats also why they called it alien versus predator and not aliens vs predator. so, since the story is gonna suck (it takes place in the present, so no badass guns whatsoever and the humans are no marines, but scientists), its going to be all about special effects. and YES, valek this is old fucking news.

WHo cares about some 10 pound piece of plastic the special effects department whipped up when we have so much mean weaponry in the present day? As far as the people who think the movie will suck goes, fuck that, it won't. Predator is one of the best action horror movies ever, it will be worth seeing for the coolness factor of seeing an entire predator clan alone. Also just because he directed mortal kombat doesn't mean he'll screw up this time, directors make bad movies and then great movies all the time (little thing called human nature jackasses). And besides, a film isn't just the work of one man, it takes hundreds of people of to make a film. A bad script writer or cast can ruin a film (i believe mortal kombat: the movie had both, christopher lambert as rayden, wtf?). Anyway, i have high hopes for this film.

AvP was cool because it was Marines fighting Aliens and Preds not some scared, confused scientists trying to survive and to figure out wtf is going on. If you have seen Aliens, you should understand what im trying to say. The marines kicked ass, and i wanna see them pwning lots of aliens with smartguns, miniguns, turrets and an apc not fucking running away for 2 hours. No doubt seeing a whole pred clan will be pretty cool. so? SW: Episode 2 had a kick ass battle in the end but was still one of the gayest movies i have ever seen. A trailer always shows the best material so i doub that the movie will be good. It will definitely have its moments but its still gonna suck overall. /edit: btw the director: Previous Films: Shopping, Mortal Kombat, Event Horizon, Soldier, Resident Evil I didnt see shopping or soldiert, but he already fucked up THREE TIMES! event horizon was gay as hell and made no sense at all and he ruined a great storyline in resident evil making an incredibly stupid film. we dont have to discuss mortal kombat i think. THIS GUY IS A BORN IDIOT, and if he does the same thing to AvP as he did to resident evil, the movie HAS TO be bad.
