Now, it seems he is what sparked the entire "myg0t did it" theory abou the hL2 source code leak. Below is a log of him and t0y of myg0t. The New "Leader" of myg0t Pirvate Messenged me and said "Hey I got the halflife 2 source". He also stated he had already leaked it to certain cheat devs and other irc users. I have been acused of leaking this when I have not, I was just among the first people to download it, i'm just like all the other users which had downloaded it. Once I did get it from him by the way of DCC, of course anyone would go around and be like "Guess What I Got" type thing. Anyways, for me saying "Guess What I Have" I have been acused of leaking, when I have not. The leaker is SourceX of myg0t, which had originaly leaked it to a number of users all over. Do I have proof SourceX is the one that illegaly got a copy from VALVe in the first place? Well, I did have my private message, but logs were not saved. So, by using older information from the net this will help prove he did this. VALVe stated "If you have information about the denial of service attacks or the infiltration of our network, please send the details". Meaing they are looking for the person which DDOS'd and infiltraded their network. Not a person which downloaded it, as i'am and so are the 20,000 other or so people. Heres some proof, VALVe said they were DDOS'd, SourceX idles on irc.lcirc.net #sdbot, that channel is used for editing and creating sdbots, which are trojan like files which turn computers into a bot, used for packeting anything. Another thing is, on the official myg0t cheat website forums, Resistance Cheats. There is a thread by SourceX called "Chris Newcombe @ VALVe Gets Tricked". This thread includes an email from ChrisN@valvesoftware.com where he was "tricked" some how, I didn't look through it. Anyways, VALVe did say somone got into their email, how did SourceX get access to this email? SourceX is the hacker which ddos'd, infiltraded VALVe's network and leaked the source code. October 6, 200321 yr Well, I don't know all the details about this whole situation myself. I don't know who to believe or anything, not that my opinion matters much. If Hitman really was the one who leaked it, than he just fucked up HUGELY by writing to Valve and showing that he was associated with someone who "leaked" the source. Eventually, if they DO take the time to hunt Source down (which will be damn near impossible, his ip is phony and his email address is sourced from the National Security Agency), he'll probably be able to produce enough evidence showing he wasn't actually the one who leaked it. Probably. The FBI will take anyone down who illegally possesses any unwarrented or unreleased material without expressed written consent from the original company. I think you all can guess what that means. So, the great myg0t finally got in too deep, pissed one too many people off, hacked someone one too many times, and now someones coming to make them pay.
