Religion was created to keep order in people's daily lives. However, I think we as a society can move past religion and govern ourselves accordingly (we just need to start disciplining out children more grrrr) BUT, I do think something(s) interfered with the evolution of humans. Take a look at dinosaurs. Ruled the earths for millions of years, and none of them evolved past the point of knawing bones. However, humans have been around for hundreds of thousands of years, and we've gone from swinging in trees to swinging in clubs. In our recorded history, there have been detailed accounts of beings interacting with humans, an extremely accurate description of a nuclear bomb being detonated long before we detonated our own, and there has been a skeleton found whose radiation levels were 50 times normal.
July 29, 200420 yr no... because religion was only set to give people a reason to live. there are many ways life was created and i dont think a higher being is one. there are too many different religions and too many ways of life to even conclude that there is a higherbeing. indians belived in animals as gods, as we(christians) belive that somthing we;ve never seen is a god. and other religions have many gods. i think that the higherbeing is within yourself. you have the power to control your life, but you were tought otherwise by parents and their predecesors. if a civilisation were uncovered that was living in secrecy for millions of years. and they had a understanding of how the mind works. it would be far more advanced than ours. in theory :P oh and the part about how we got here is because aliens wanted to test out a organic robot that did simple tasks for them on the earth but our cerebral core is too adnvaced and we overthrew their testings. now all they can do is observe our planet as we slowly destry it by ourselves. You all make stupid remarks and comments about certain religion, but have u ever picked up a book and read it? I dont think so. Well dont get wrong, there are religions that are fake, such as chrisanity, and catholism, they might have been truthfull looong time ago, but this days, they have been changed from the original text, to scare people more easily into it. I think jesus christ was just a fony, who knew a few magic tricks, and does where jaw opening back in does days, he was a david hassleof, of rome, he got crucified because this lies. There are certain books that can really open your mind, there is the Tao te ching, the Baghvad gita(the hindu holy text) the diamond sutra(buddhas poem) and many others, that are very very helpfull to not just spirtualy, but materialstic too, they can help become succesfull, (if you want alot of money) help you be patient, have a steady mind, and have peace inside of you. So what if IM wrong? What if there is no god? What if i die and there is nothing afterwards? So what? Atleast I had a happy life, and dident have to stress about things, that are impossible for my mind to comphered. Atleast I dident always fall in a 2 month depression after something bad happen. Atleast I dident waste my life on sadness or happyness. At the end, is always your own choice, because is you, and you are the only one your gonne have when you fall into a hole. I dont think, you should listen to anything the school teachers you, maybe memorize so you can past the test, but not necessary BELIVE IT. Because at the end, who will gain after a kid gradutes from high school or collage, totaly brainwashed in atheistic belives, and that life is just a routine, where you wake up go to work, come home fuck your wife, and go to sleep? Also, I haven't believed in god since 6th grade because there is just to many things pointing for and against him. July 29, 200420 yr I believe in god and the afterlife, how can u not? - you have the storys recorded in the bible - storys of heaps people who have had neer death experiences who have been outside their body and experienced something amazing - storys or reincarnination and people who have remembered past lives which have been proved (read some story about a kid who died on the the titanic and they found his old name on the passenger list or something ) - and just faith but even if im wrong im still not afraid to die or to not exist because if there is no god or afterlife, if ur dead how will u know your dead?
