I think you should not discuss such an issue.

you can't just discuss the meaning of religion, or there beeing a 'god' or higher beïng or whatever its spelled. Religion is more that just a motherfucking old man with a fucking beard pointing his big fat finger down onto earth and fucking causing it to rain or some shit. people might take strenght out of their religion, or feel liberated after their daily confession of all them motherfucking crimes. It doesn't matter if there is a heaven, hell or a god up there. What does matter is that the people here on earth have something to believe in when they feel down, and that they behave propperly becouse they think they will get rewarded in their 'after life'. You can look at it as you will, this is just my opinion about it. Me myself, I dont believe in a god or a higher power. I'm a materialist and philosofist (or whatever its spelled in english). But I respect other people's religion, and I have no intention to convince them they should change religion or drop it. If I were to believe in such an afterlife or whatever, I wouldn't look at it as a paradise or sumthing. I'd see it more as reeincarnation. But not as a whole beeing. you see when you die your body decades. But someday, your body could become part of annother organism, or atleast some molecules. And in that way I do believe in reeincarnation, we are all part of this world, and the atoms and stuff in ur body has been on this earth since the beginning, and will always be here till the end of time itself. Hell your atoms might have even been part of some important guy like jesus, or adolf hitler.

Ok I'm more logical than the rest of you.

First of all, I don't believe the universe was created by the big bang. Matter cannot be created. I simply think that there never was a begining. The past goes on forever, so does the future.

 

Second of all, I'm uncertain about the afterlife. If conscienseness is made by matter and if time goes on forever, eventually you will live again thru reincarnation instantly (billions of years may pass by in a matter of instance).

If conscienseness is not made by matter, that means your conscienseness comes from your spirit(if it exist). If so, there might be an after-life of some sort or simply perfect harmony (no feelings, just nothing).

 

Please reply if you have any objections.

On a different note, I strongly dislike Christians. Mostly because every single one I see thinks I'm wrong, and they're right, no matter what. They insult you and threaten you, then they try and cram their bullshit down your throat. It's a slap in the face.

I honestly don't know what happens when you die, because I've never died and remembered it, and thus have no knowledge or experience of the event. Chances are you just die and that's the end, but who's to say there isn't some sort of afterlife? No one knows, and that's where the problems lie. People can speculate to the end of time and not know.

 

If I had to choose a religion I had the least problem with, or indeed liked, it would probably be Buddism.

I think some of you guys are misunderstood as to what a blackhole is. a blackhole doesn't directly have anything to do with the, "Big Bang." A blackhole is a burned out star that has collapsed into an enormously massive object in a very small space. Nobody knows yet what exactly goes on in it. But one person was right when he said the universe is currently expanding. It is but for some reason it's been expanding very rapidly in the last twenty years. Nobody is sure yet as to why.

 

People are right when they say it's hard to argue the existance of a higher being. Personally, I am leaning towards the possibility that there is one. The thing in astrophysics that makes me believe this is the concept of String Theory. For example, if it's true that there exist particles with zero mass, than who knows what else could be out there.

Einstein said that matter is neither created nor destroyed. If you think he's wrong than you must also not believe in space-time, relativity, and all the other things he created. In order to prove him wrong, you'd have to show what was wrong with his differential equations and I doubt you have the mathematical background to do that. Most people don't.
