Well, the only time I've gotten threatened to have my ip reported is when I'm hacking and random nubs splutter it between rage remarks. If they want to make me go to a meeting for that, my cable company is fucked up.

I was in this gaming clan for cod a while back, and this dude from the MOH division over heard the RCON password one day, so even tho he heard the password, he went into the server, changed the PW to somethin really long, and was changing gravity and stuff, and he got in trouble for it because he dident have permission to do the changes, even tho the people were not responcible and said the password in the public vent

 

out come: He is not able to have any broadband or highspeed internet access for 5 years and has to use 56k. and he had to pay for 1 month of server rental and if he does it again, he will not legally be able to live in a house with a computer

I suspect the guy on that forum is trolling anyway. No one would be dumb enough to admit to getting in trouble for posting gay porn, and comcast would simply suspend your account or warn the user. They can't force you to attend any meeting.

Rogers once sent some empty threat about 'malicious probes' being eminated from my computer when I was playing with trojans. I guess they monitor for that. Fucked.

 

But the funnier one was the long-winded letter I got when I set up an FTP with that old Doom III link about 12 hours after it was first reported leaked. I think I put 30 gigs up in about 2-3 days, and they mailed my @rogers.com account with all this bullshit about overusing my bandwidth, violating their terms of service, etc etc.. and they will disconnect me if I do not cease'n'desist. I just wrote them back mentioning that there is no mention of bandwidth use in their terms of service. I guess they didn't see something like this coming. Anyway, I never heard from them after that and kept the FTP up :sly:

they dont have time to have a fucking meeting with customers. I got popped fo downloading american wedding from suprnova about a year ago and all comcast did was send me an e-mail telling me not to do it anymore. so why would they have a meeting over :bj: ?

Can't understand why they would cry about suprnova since file sharing is legal as far as I know, otherwise the site would have been nuked a long time ago.

on bit torrent, you download and upload at the same time. the mpaa will connect to you and download from you, track your ip and cry to your isp. Its the same thing the riaa does. they download from you, get your ip and supoeana your isp to get your identity. I use peer guardian now.

I've had comcast call me about bandwidth and whatnot but it didnt matter, as they cant do anything without proof
i got a paper home once from my isp, something about a virus or somethign, didnt really bother me!

if posting gay pics online causes a meeting between you and ur isp, i suggest you find another isp asap + isnt this intrustion of ur privacy?
