yeh, Windowblinds damn sure aint the answer. attatches to the already existing shell. stardock same type of shit. they look pretty but add more strain to an already burdonsome resource whore.

 

I think what he is looking for is a complete replacement. disable explorer and load ????? as your desktop and file manager. is that right?

yep. here it is. probably not everything you hope for, but i droped a few megs ram and got an extra slick desk top. menues are faster access and completely customizable. im keeping it.
