whats sad is my computer will be able to run games i predict for about 2 more years, and it only costed 1k

spend 8 k on something that will be out of date in 4 months (64 bit, btx, pci express all on the way)

first of all, instead of 3.4 ghZ go with 3.0, save yourself a few hundred there. And even without it, 8,750 makes no sense. You should be able to get that for under 3000, no question, and even then, in three months it will be half the price

If you spend 8 grand on a computer, you have absoultely no life at all.

...and he has no brains at all; you can build the best computer around (latest ATI graphics card, 2 GB of RAM, 5 GHz, etc...) for only about 3-4k.

even if you dont get the 64 bit, btx, and pci express, still wait as the agp vcards and atx bsfulnessizm will cost less ... (but still go with teh 64 bit proc like the athlon 64 3400+, its teh pwntage plus the next operating systems will be 64 bit)

LAHMAYO...what a dueche, why do u need so many cd rom? shit with all those cd roms u buying u could get a new blue laser rom that has 24 gig cd's u can burn... plus ur getting royally assraped on that price... u can make that computer for 2 grand easy, my friend JUST got a new computer his dad baught it for him... 64 bit athlon, 9800 radion pro, blah blee blah blee blah it can run halo, doom 3, unreal 2 all them nice nnnnice games without anyyyy trouble at all... them new abit mboards are nice also they have a feature on them were u can overclock from the desktop +/-400 megahurtz and all these other nice things... x800 is pci express but i dont see the need for it so soon...wait a while for the prices to go down

what a troll. i assembled my comp bout a year ago, cost me 1.2 k, amd athlon xp 3000+, ati all inwonder 9600 pro, 1 gig ram ddr, logitech 5.1 speakers, they were like 70 bucks. a discontinued model of a moniter syncmaster 750s, dvd rw drive and a 120 gb hd. i wont buy another comp for i think likr 2-3 years, and pci express is bs imo, im gonna wait till the dual agp slot mother boards come out. i figure ill get a dual amd proceesor mobo witht he dual agp slots, water cool everything, but thats what i think ill do, who knows maybe ill get that aurora laptop with amd 64 http://www.alienware.com/intro_Pages/aurora-m64.aspx who knows, but yeah thread starter, thats not a gaming pc that like a burning cd's pc, go eat your 8k and choke.
