Posted August 5, 200420 yr i cant get on it . says unable to conect i unlocked my router and turned off firewalls and everything but i still cant get on . i think its a problem on your side. any help?
August 5, 200420 yr The problem is, Ventrilo, unknown to me, with the latest verison 2.2.0 made it so the public server version limits only 8 connections and you cannot change this. So you could not connect because the server was full. So here is what I just did. I reverted back to verison 2.1.4 and installed it. If you want to connect to our Ventrilo server now, you must uninstall the current client 2.2.0 and install the old version 2.1.4. Old version can be found here: http://www.oldversion.com/downloadx/ventrilo214.exe Sorry about the hassle, but we either use the older version like other clans/groups or we switch to something else like teamspeak(which I don't want to do). Rather then offer a license to buy so more connections can occur the greedy fuckers instead only gave licenses to a select number of hosts, which if you want to run a ventrilo server with more then 8 people you must pay one of these hosts to host the server for you. So even if I wanted to buy and pay for a license, the fuckers won't sell you one. It's pretty fucking stupid. I think it's pretty fucked up the ventrilo makers did this. I hope and expect to see someone take Ventrilo and make their own version that is free or atleast includes a license system that allows admins to BUY a fucking license. Greedy fucks.
