Yeah, there might be some people who work harder, longer hours than most and don't go out as often as maybe young people should but they certainly don't match the description above.

Let me ask this question: If nerds aren't worth socializing with etc. then why are they worth bullying? If they are so below you, why do you need to pick on them? This is because, deep down, you know, as well as I do, that nerds are more powerful than the guy who can bench press twice his own weight or the guy that can run 100m in 11s or whatever. Brute force can only get you so far.

 

Take Aesop's fable about the man with the coat as an example. The sun and the wind have a bet about which one can get the man to take his coat off first. It's the turn of the wind, first. The wind blows and blows with all his power and might but this only makes the man want to keep his coat on because he is getting cold. The sun goes second. The sun shines as much as it can until the man gets so hot, he takes his coat off.In this case the sun would be the nerd and the wind would be the bully.

 

The world would not exist without nerds. Nerds make your computers; they make your telephones; they make your DVDs, they make your TVs. Gizmos and gadgets alike weren't made by athletes and the big muscular people, they were made by nerds. So if you want to bully and destroy nerds and make their lives a misery, go right ahead but don't expect the world to be a better place.

Well, nerds aren't exactly at the very bottom of the social ladder; for example, one could be a nerd and be thin without any vision impairments or orthodontic treatments. Would he be above a nerd with glasses and a fat belly who sits around all day trying to see smudges on the wall as fast food logos to inspire him to get off his fat ass and get a feed? Would he be above a nerd stupid enough to do something like the International Baccalaureatte? The reason they are so clever, is because most of them stay in, day in, day out - learning or being taught. MOst of them cannot socialise for shit - and never go out

Most normal pp lspend their time doin other good struff, not shit stuff like learning - but this would mean cos ur not 24/7 on getting clever, it means ur not as clever in the end

My grandpa knew a guy who in grade school who was concidered a "nerd", he had very few friends, and not the best home life, people always made fun of him. 10 years ago my grandpa found out the guy is now living in Las Vegas, is a millionair, and is married to a show girl/stripper/super model forgot which one. (I think it was a show girl)

 

I wish I had that kind of luck :/
