Posted August 19, 200420 yr Sprays were disabled in beta for all users, even the default ones. So if your wondering why you cannot see your spray, its because no one can. I did however just find a method (not tested by me yet) that is suppose to make them work. 1. Go into your steam\steamapps\email\counter strike source beta\cstrike 2. Then create a folder called "downloads" and leave it. 3. Play game and use sprays. Again, I have not tested this myself. I do believe this will work. However it will make it so you can see sprays but everyone else that has not done this will not see the sprays.
August 19, 200420 yr Well, I think it might not have been done on purpose. I think that when you play CS:S, it only extracts the files from the GCF that you need, in order to save space. If you just downloaded CS:S and haven't played it yet through steam, there will be no materials folder or anything, but if you go into your options menu and look at the sprays, it will create the directories and folders. So, unintentionally, it probably just never creates the directory, which is why what OMP posted probably works.
