Dogs dont have the right enzymes to properly digest chocolate. A decent amount can kill them.

To be honest, a big dog is extremely unlikely to die from eating milk chocolate.

 

Just because they would have to eat such a large amount, like in excess of a kilogram.

 

However, dark chocolate is much more deadly and could easily kill a small dog.
