Posted January 9, 200520 yr Okay, I just found out that you are able to play sounds though the mic on CS:S, without having to listen to it yourself. 1: Go to "Start" -> "run". Type "sndvol32.exe" without the " marks. You should now have the windows volume mananger in front of you. 2: Go to "Options" , then "Properties". Then check the "Recording" box. A few new boxes should appear under "Show the following volume controls:". Make sure you have all of them checked. Click OK. 3:Now go to "Start" -> "run". Type "sndrec32.exe" without the " marks. This should bring up the sound recording window. 4: Now bring back the window that you saw in step 2. (The window title should say "Recording control"). Be prefectly quiet or unplug the microphone. Set all volumes to medium. 5: Open up your favourite sound file. Pick a song with no long pauses. 6: Now click on the "Sound recorder" window and click on the "record" button (red ball). Quickly go back to the "Recording control" window and select the box that makes the Sound recorder react, while playing the song. (Default selected button is "Microphone", dont select microphone though). The button that worked on my computer was "Mono-mix" and "Stereo-mix", select one of theyse (dont know wich one works best). 7: Close the "Sound recorder". 8: Set the song you choose to loop, or choose a really long song or a playlist. Hear it play. (Works best with the files made as voice annoys at myg0t.com) 9: Open CS:Source, join a server. 10: Now hit the windows button, so you get back to you'r desctop. The "Microphone" option should have magically gotten selected by itself. (CS:Source's fault). Select the button that made the sound recoreder react (Mono-mix or Stereo-mix for me). Click on the "Counter-Strike: Source" window, so you bring up the game). 11: Click on the off button on you'r speakers so you dont have to listen to it yourself (You obviously wont hear anything else either). Now its just to hold down the "+voicerecord" button (Default is "K") or simply write "+voicerecord" in console to activate the recording, or "-voicerecord" to stop it. You allways have to tick the working box in the "Recording control" when chaning servers since CS:S allways resets the button to "Microphone". So in the end you just join a game, hide CS:S, tick the working box, go back into the game and type "+voicerecord". (and "voice_loopback 1" to see if its working) Maybe sp0rk or someone else could make a program that automatically ticks the "Mono-mix" box (or the box that works for you) once you join a game, or every 10 secs if thats easier.
January 9, 200520 yr or you could just go o the cs files at http://www.myg0t.com, download the voiceannoy script, and throw it into every directory at valve\steamapps\yourmail\css\. That's what i did and voiceannoy works just as it did in cs 1.6. I haven't bothered to figure out exactly which directories you need to post the voiceannoy.cfg and voice_input.wav, but i know you have to put them into different ones.
January 9, 200520 yr Author hah okay I got owned. You put the Voiceannoy.cfg script from myg0t.com into your "C:\Program\Steam\SteamApps\YOURNAME\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg" folder, then put the voice_input.wav into your "C:\Program\Steam\SteamApps\YOURNAME\counter-strike source" folder. You open CS:S and type "exec voiceannoy" then use the numpad 3 button to turn it on or off.
January 17, 200520 yr does your voice annoy work in cs:s? mine doesnt seem to work, everything works fine until i hit 3 on the keypad. the little mic icon shows in the server but nothing plays. is there some setting i must change or what?

Use the voice annoy that comes with the .zip file from myg0t.com, some audio files dont work. and dont edit the script. (voice_loopback 1 makes you hear yourself)
January 17, 200520 yr Quote Dont you losers realise that people can just mute you? to bad 3/4th's of the people playin CSS dont know that there is a mute option, and that is reinforced from a server i was just in where i was doing a voice annoy and a guy said on his mic "I wish I could just mute this fag poop" then like 8 people agreed that they wish there was a mute feature in css

January 18, 200520 yr The 1.6 voiceannoy seem to wrok for css, but the wavs dont play, what kind of wav files that css can support?
January 18, 200520 yr Author CS 1.6 wavs work fine.. Just read what I said above.. you need to put them in different folders. Fenris: 1: Open "My computer" -> "Folder options" -> uncheck the "Show extention for known filetypes". Okay, now rename your .MP3 file to .SRC and run it and it will magically turn into an audio file that works on CS:S. 3: Open sound file and dont use hacks. and you ARE a child
February 8, 200520 yr I didn't have SRC supported in File Types when I went to the folder options. So I made it a supported type and told it, that it was a Winamp media file. I tried playing it in game through the Recording Control in Counter-Strike... but it didn't loopback when I typed in voice_loopback 1 in console. Any suggestions?
