Posted January 25, 200520 yr is VISUAL C++ a compiler tat uses C++ as the language or is it a combination of both C++ n VISUAL BASICS? stupid OpenGL tutorials on the net keep changing from C++ to VB to V C++ =S
January 25, 200520 yr i would think that when it says visual C++ it just means C++ it wont be a combination of visual basic because thats just a visual front end to program with basic, so when it talks about visual c++ it prob just means normal c++ but there doing it in visual studio, its all just for easy of programming it makes all the windows and buttons easy to make and use instead of having to create new childs of frame classes etc. [EDIT] also the actual openGL code will basicly be the same for all the languages
January 25, 200520 yr Author o cuz wen i read tutorials on OpenGL for C++...the codes don't work for me...im using Dev C++...n they are using Visual C++ which like u said...uses C++...but their codes wont work for me...always saying theres a linking problem

January 25, 200520 yr Author well first of all i know most of the basic stuff in C++...n now im learning OpenGL...i read all the tutorials on OpenGL on Cprogramming.com and every tut says for me to #include <gl\glaux.h> wen i check my compiler which is devC++ 4.9.9.0...it doesnt have it in the Include folder if u have it, can u upload it or send it to me by email??? dark_urza@hotmail.com
January 26, 200520 yr its called visual c++ because it has a good IDE and mainly because making MFC programs in vc++ is pretty much the same as doing shit in visual basic except with c++ not vb code.
January 28, 200520 yr Author ...........this thread was pointless id have to say cuz no one gave me what i needed... i want glaux.h if any of u out there have it....i dont care about wat compiler i should get n stuff cuz all C++ compilers compile C++ codes into programs...just some are better for doing this n that
